BBNaija star Mike Edwards and his wife Perri Shakes-Drayton have welcomed their new baby — a son named Mathew Olaoluwa Edwards.
The couple announced their daughter’s arrival via social media on
Thursday August 27, with Mike sharing a heart-melting video of his wife
delivering their son through water birth at a hospital.
In the video, Perri is seen laying in a bathtub filled with water while being surrounded by her husband and a midwife.
At one point, the retired British athlete started screaming in agony as she began to push.
According to the couple, they welcomed the child after 12 hours of labor on Wednesday August 26. Mike later took to Instagram share new photos of him cradling the newborn while his wife watched on the hospital bed.
We cannot demonize our own. We are the pillars of the family,” To my wife, @itspsd you’re nothing short of amazing, and I’m so proud to be your husband and twice as excited that you’re the mother to our baby boy. ❤️💙”
Perri later shared one of the photos, writing, “AND THEN THERE WERE 3…Thank you for all the messages We The Edwards are definitely feeling the love for our new bundle of joy. Babe captured some very special moments, I’m glad we can share the real deal of my pregnancy story.”
