I cannot still establish why after the initial thought of the Censorship/Classification board not to give its approval to the movie “Hot Fork” , the board has now consented to the release of the movie. This is Ghana for us right?
Hot Fork will be premiered on Saturday 15th May at the Executive Theatre at TV3, Kanda. And as the saying goes “Ghanaians or black people like free lunch”, Socrates Sarfo, producer of the movie is giving free entry to all couples at the premiere.
All you need to do is come with a partner and you will be allowed to watch the movie for free. Socrate Sarfo defends his “couple come watch for free” premiere by saying ““A lot of people have said a lot of things about this movie and the title since the trailer came out, so I want to give matured people the opportunity to see this movie and tell me what they think”. Is this not a brawny effort to popularize the movie and get Ghanaians to accept the unacceptable since it is free?
Socrates Sarfo told Peace fm that “ movie premieres in most parts of the world are not supposed to be paying events. I want as many people as possible to see this movie and learn from it. I really wish I could premiere it at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium but I don’t have money to pay for the venue”, he emphasized”.
So those of the guys in Ghana, if you fancy some poorly acted soft porn directed by Socrate Sarfo, then grab your sister and say she is your girlfriend or wife and head to Executive Theatre at TV3 on 15th May.
